Psychological Assessments

Psychological Assessments

At Dual Minds Psychology, we believe that understanding a person’s cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning is the first step toward meaningful support and growth. Our comprehensive psychological assessments provide clear insights into each individual’s strengths, challenges, and developmental needs.

Using evidence-based evaluation methods and a personalized approach, we help families, educators, and individuals gain the clarity needed to make informed decisions about treatment, learning support, and long-term development.

Our 3-Step Assessment Process
Our 3-Step Assessment Process

01

Comprehensive Intake & Understanding

We begin with a detailed intake and consultation to understand the client’s background, developmental history, current concerns, and goals. This helps ensure the evaluation focuses on the areas that matter most.

02

Evidence-Based Psychological Evaluation

A range of standardized and evidence-based assessment tools are used to evaluate areas such as cognitive abilities, academic functioning, attention, executive functioning, learning processes, and emotional well-being.

03

Clear Reports & Practical Recommendations

Clients and families receive a comprehensive written report that summarizes the findings and provides clear, practical recommendations to support learning, emotional well-being, and long-term development.

Independent Educational Evaluations (IEE)

In addition to private psychological assessments, Dual Minds Psychology provides Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs).

An Independent Educational Evaluation is an assessment conducted by a qualified professional who is not employed by the school district. Families sometimes seek an IEE when they would like an independent perspective on their child’s learning, attention, or emotional needs.

IEEs may be requested when:

Parents have concerns about the results of a school district evaluation

Additional clarification is needed for learning or developmental challenges

Families would like an independent professional opinion to support educational planning

Our IEEs provide comprehensive evaluation and detailed recommendations that can help guide IEP discussions, educational planning, and appropriate support services for the student.
